In 2012, a small group of Veterinarians and horse care providers associated with the US Equestrian Teams began working closely with human sports specialists, riders, farriers, biomechanists, physical therapists, and others within the industry, toward adopting a broader and more science-driven strategy to manage equestrian athletes. The Group, first named the Equine High-Performance Sports Group, has evolved and become IGNITE.

IGNITE recently had an online forum and invited Dr. Nathan Katz, CEO of Jointechlabs, to speak. Dr. Katz discussed the future of microfat for both humans and animals.

See the talk below. Specific mention of horses comes at around the 10:40 mark.

As a coda, the use of microfat and MiniTC in the equine world is not just a future possibility. MiniTC microfat has been used commercially by vetinanarians in equine applications.
